Ready to Accelerate Your Success? Let Me Coach You
Have you ever had someone in your life you could count on to provide trusted advice? The kind of advice that steered you on the right path?
I remember the first undergraduate marketing class I ever took in college in the 1990s. This was new territory for me (a journalism and history double major), but I wanted to see if marketing might be a fit for me. The instructor said we could choose from a variety of options for our individual project, which was due at the end of the semester. I picked the one that all my other classmates shunned—an interview with a marketing professional.
I reached out to my Uncle Jack in the Chicago area. He had run his own laundromat real estate business for years, and I always liked talking business with him when he came back to Iowa to visit our family. During our interview, Uncle Jack gave me some of the best business advice I’ve ever received. “Find and need and fill it.”
Advice you can trust
Uncle Jack continue to offer me business advice until he passed away in 2009. I still miss our conversations and am grateful for the wisdom he shared. That’s why I encourage budding entrepreneurs, young business professionals and authors to find a good mentor or business coach who can cut to the chase, shorten their learning curve and accelerate their success.
Sometimes finding that right person can seem overwhelming. Perhaps it might not seem worth the investment. You’ve already got enough on your plate, right? Yet…there’s still something missing.
Maybe you’ve already taken the plunge. You’re trying to grow an existing business but feel stuck. Perhaps you’re a budding entrepreneur struggling to make the leap into self-employment. In any case, you’re unsure about how to move forward.
But a few things are clear:
• You want to become THE subject-matter expert that people want to do business with.
• You know you’ve got a unique story to tell, along with a desire to share it.
• You’re focused on learning so you can continue to get better and add more value to those you serve.
• You might be thinking about blogging, authoring a book or becoming a speaker to get your name out there.
• Most of all, you’re willing to work hard to make good things happen.
How do you start turning these dreams into reality? Who can give you reliable, trustworthy advice? Where do you start putting the pieces together to make the invaluable contributions only you can make—and make a comfortable living doing it?
It might be time to invest in professional coaching from a trusted mentor—someone who sees more talent and ability within you and helps bring it out of you.
